The Lexus Southern project LC 500 termed, #LCUL8TR, has continued on the auto show circuit since its full debut at SEMA 2017 in the Orafol Wraps booth.  It was time for its second phase of major modifications, first the the addition of full Tom’s Racing Carbon Fiber Aero Kit and the change to Vossen Hybrid Forged HF-1 Wheels.

Comprised of dry carbon, more advanced composite than wet carbon, the Tom’s Racing Aero Kit transforms the look of the LC 500 from GT to near exotic status. Not only is the kit light as a feather, it was engineered after months of testing at Fuji Speedway. Due to more advanced air flow, lap times at Fuji dropped by over 6 seconds with the addition of the aero kit! Not just purposeful, the Tom’s kit is also beautiful to look at, accenting the beautiful concept cars lines of the LC 500 and adding a much more aggressive flavor. The kit consists of a front lip spoiler, side skirts and rear diffuser.

With the addition of the black carbon fiber kit, the Miami White Vossen Forged CG-205T wheels offered a bit too much contrast. Enter our Vossen Hybrid Forged HF-1 wheel. The decision was made to have them powder coated in our Satin Black custom finish with optional Hybrid Forged center cap in red Vossen script to match the red brake calipers. Measuring 20×9 up front and 20×11 in the rear wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Tires. Already lowered on RS-R Sport-I Coilovers, the #LCUL8TR now has the stance sorely missing from the stock car.

The second phase debuted at the Atlanta Auto Show in April 2018 and has been seen throughout the East Coast from the Columbus Ohio Auto show to Formula D at Road Atlanta. If you see it make sure to post your picture up and use hashtag #LCUL8TR; we might just repost it!

As you can see, Dela’s Genesis now has a much meaner and aggressive appearance but with the RS-R coilovers, ride quality and handling have improved. The Toyo Tires gave this car much needed grip since Dela likes to have some fun! This combination really was exactly what Dela had in mind.
