To say we have a close relationship with RS-R would be an understatement. From working on top project cars together like the “Instabuilt RC F” to both companies manufacturing their top of the line products in-house we share many similarities even though we are worlds apart!  RS-R debuted their wild Scion FR-S powered by a Ford Coyote V-8 previously on the West Coast and after some planning decided to bring it to the East Coast!

RS-R is otherwise known as the “master of height” as they produce some of the top suspension components in the world. We have used their spring and coilover suspensions in multiple projects and have always raved about the high quality of the parts as well as their ease of use and of course ability to slam our Vossen equipped cars. For those that are more interested in racing, they have won multiple sporting championships across the globe in racing and Formula Drift. 

After working together at Nitto Enthusiast Day in Dallas, we decided to also work together at Formula D Orlando where their 19″ VFS-2 equipped was parked with the RS-R and Vossen booths. Attendees were stunned to see that big V-8 shaped into this small Scion and of course hearing that deep V-8 sound. From there Ben Chong, director of new business development, had the FR-S brought down to Miami to the Vossen Forged Factory!

After arriving we put the 450hp plus FR-S on our lift to not only to conduct a closer inspection of their build but to also measure the vehicle since they will be upgrading from our Flow Formed Technology VFS-2 wheels to one of our new 19″ Vossen Forged Wheels!  Sticky Nitto NT05 tires keep this super quick FRS planted to the pavement!

Huge big brakes from AP Racing courtesy of our friends at Stillen give this much more powerful FR-S the stopping power it needed. We measured the FR-S so we can ensure not just perfect fitment but maximum concavity for their new set of Vossen Forged Wheels.

Its also great to see it with a manual transmission, a direct swap from the Ford Boss 302! The transmission obviously is perfectly matched to the Ford engine but its in a Scion! The JDM Steering wheel adds a distinct touch with nice carbon fiber accents. I have to agree, it is the “ultimate street car”!

Its always awesome to be able to show people our Vossen Forged Factory and here Ben and I looked at some new forged wheels being made as well as discussing colors and finishes for their #bossfrs.

We have visited RS-R’s factory and production facility in Osaka, Japan and learned quite a bit there, like all their coilovers are hand assembled. In our TUV verified factory, all our wheels are hand finished with all center caps also hand assembled.

This picture reminds me, hey Ben, I need that shirt!

We reviewed multiple styles including our new Vossen LC-Series and soon to be released CG-Series. Afterwards we also reviewed VossenxWork wheel options which we had on display.

Since debuting the #instabuilt RC F at SEMA 2014 we have shown nothing but our affection for Lexus powerful RC F. The silver one you see here is owned by our friend Lenny (@chumpsy_ on IG) who traded in a modified G37 coupe on CV4’s for this new Lexus.

Lenny’s still got the new car smell in his RC F so his list of modifications are only beginning. To date he’s added RS-R Springs and an aftermarket exhaust so that 467hp V-8 and sound off a bit louder. And of course his new Vossen VFS-5 wheels on Toyo Tires.

Toyo T1-Sport Tires measuring 255/30/20 up front and 285/30/20 in the rear keep Lenny’s RC F planted. The new VFS-5 is available in two finishes and this one is our silver metallic which upon close inspection has some fine flakes in the paint.

The look here is absolutely brilliant with the all silver car themed car and subtle Lexus F blue trim. The huge 15″ Brembo brakes have plenty of space behind the aggressive lines of the VFS-5 while the open spoke allow for sufficient cooling.

The already powerful Cadillac CTS-V had 556hp out the gate but for many, that is just the starting point. This owner decided to trust our friends at Lashway Motorsports with upgrading this V-8 for even more power.

This CTS-V features the Lashway Motorsports Level 5 Performance Package:

After these enhancements, power goes from 556hp to over 850hp!!

To showcase that this is no ordinary CTS-V, the wagon is now on a lowered suspension and features our 20×9 and 20×10.5 Vossen Flow Formed VFS-2 wheels.

We debuted satin bronze two years ago and it still looks quite amazing today with some flakes in the paint to give it a slight pearl effect.

On a black car, it really looks amazing, and on this powerful CTS-V it now has the sinister look from Vossen to match its sinister heart!

While we wish Cadillac currently brought us a CTS-V wagon, we will always admire this past generation of one hell of a family hauler!

Earlier in the year the team at Lexus Eastern decided to use the all new RC F and NX 200t on the show and meet circuit to showcase these amazing new vehicles and some modifications they support. Having a great relationship with Lexus, we linked up to provide some insight on these modifications and of course wheels! We both agreed that a lowered suspension would enhance the look & performance of these already aggressive looking cars and called our good friend Ben Chong at RS-R who flew out to Lexus to do some final R&D work.

Working closely with Jonathan Linn & Ben Roget at Lexus Eastern, the Lexus vehicles were now ready to debut right in time for summer! First up, the all new comparison winning Lexus NX 200t, now lowered on RS-R “down” springs and our Flow Forged VFS-2 Wheels in an all new size, 21×9!

Wrapped in Pirelli Tires sized I personally think the 21″ wheel is just the right size for the NX and the lowered ride height really makes this NX look absolutely splendid.

Next up, the powerful RC F sport coupe. As we were first to help modify the RC F with the groundbreaking “Instabuilt” car last year, we have developed a very close relationship with this particular car, including our very own KJ owning one and the Imporfest Rocket Bunny cars.

In addition I happen to be driving one now and it is one soulful, fun to drive car. The V-8 sound alone is worth the price of admission! Here Lexus Eastern was the first to have the refreshed CV3-R on the RC F in 20×9 and 20×10.5 sizes.

With it also lowered on RS-R “down” springs, the classic 5 spoke design of the CV3-R makes this beautiful car even more head turning. Tire sizes are 255/30/20 and 285/30/20.

For the shoot, the team decided to use New York City in the background while also capturing some nice additional scenery on a beautiful sunny day.
