When conceptualizing ideas and methods to showcase our newest designs, one main recurring theme was more prominent than most– Consistent media across the board from clients to consumers. Our brand image and presence is everything to us and our customers hold continued high standards for this reason. The display had to be as good, if not better than our product.

Being from Miami, we have the repeated luxury of art and design being showcased so frequently in our backyard. What more perfect way to display our latest additions than a massive 50×30′ gallery amidst the madness of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

We chose this design for a modern, art gallery style to allow our customer’s and client’s to be “removed” from the show when they enter the show. The walls were purposely made 16-feet high to match the average height of our factory machines and layout so it’s strictly just the wheel details being exhibited. The ledges were placed at 4-feet high to put the intricacies of the wheels at eye-level for any of the visitors. The upper bar-sconces were mounted at 8-feet to allow light to travel down on both the Vossen Red walls and the top of the wheel barrel to emphasize width and design. 

The lighting for this showcase was a feat in it’s own as we wanted to match our same studio style lights but allow the booth-visitors to get a similar image on their cell-phone, flash free. Over 1000 feet of dot-less LED’s were used for lighting the wheels in this showcase, and 50 RGB tubes were utilized for the hint of red beneath the ledge as you walked through the booth. 

Covering all of the 50×30’ gallery was a custom-made 0% black-out curtain with a gloss white backing up-top. This bounced the convention center lights back up away and allowed us to control 100% of the lighting for our booth. On the Left and Right side of our meeting rooms, our Vossen V-Shields were made in high-density foam to project our videos and content in 4K for customers to view as they walked through the gallery.

The outer pillars on one end of the booth showcased our most-popular Hybrid Forged 5-lug designs like the HF-5 and all-new HF-7, while adding in the latest addition to our offering, the first floating-center cap Hybrid Forged wheel: The HF-8.

At the opposite end, the same design was mirrored to showcase our 6-lug Hybrid Forged Wheels and teased the booth visitors with an entirely new center-cap that was hand-delivered just for this event.

In the center of attention were our meeting rooms while on the outside walls 25 brand-new designs were carefully placed. Amongst them was our S21 series received 3 additions that will be available in Monoblock, 3-Piece, and Carbon applications.

Every aspect of this booth had a multi-functional purpose or intention behind it— Our brand image and presence is everything, so every image captured by our visitors already exceeds expectations. Overall, this exhibit took a massive amount of teamwork and man-hours— plenty of sleepless nights were had to ensure it’s success and it was worth every second.

Tucked underneath the Xpel Stealth wrapped body is our industry-leading LC2-C1’s, a mono-block, forged, directional staple in our wheel offering— finished in Marbled Gloss Clear. Gabe’s Corvette C8 always seems to turn heads wherever it goes, now our jaws are permanently on the ground.

The Vossen Forged M-X Series, although a prior series of designs for us, still rings true and current on the most modern vehicles. While a wide variety of vehicles were used in the marketing campaign, recently the all-new A90 Supra was a standout, catching quite a bit of traction with some major sources.

When considering options for the Supra, the options were endless in the Vossen Forged lineup, given it’s recommended fitment was a standard 20″ offering. We chose the M-X6 for it’s sharp, split-spoke design and a pocket-less edge to compliment the styling and rear-fenders of the Supra. Against the Tungsten Silver, the Satin Bronze of the M-X6’s truly set it apart from any Supra before.

Vossen’s European efforts at Essen Motor Show usually collide with Art Basel on the calendar, so getting involved in the city’s festivities is a difficult task. However, a perfect storm of venues, concepts and partners led to Vossen’s first formal participation in the events in not just one, but two locations throughout Wynwood.

In partnership with SWARM (@swarm_eventagency) and Hive Wynwood (@hivewynwood), we enlisted the help of local artist and designer, Surge (@illsurge), to hand paint a new Lamborghini Urus (thanks to our friend @lambo_laparl!). With acrylic paint pens in mind, we brought the Urus over to our friends at Metro Group (@metrowrapz) to wrap the Italian luxury USV in a matte white finish, creating the perfect blank canvas for Surge to spill his mind.

Fitted with 23″ Vossen Forged S17-01 wheels, the Urus had a very striking look before Surge got underway. Painting and doodling Thursday and Friday night, Surge put the finishing touches on his piece just in-time for the weekend to begin!

Across Wynwood, at the old RC Cola Factory, another event called Basel House (@baselhouse) was home to our second display: the Wheel Bouquet originally created for the Vossen Gallery at SEMA 2018. Amidst dozens of street artists that were painting murals throughout the freshly-refinished RC plant the bouquet was on exhibit, with Vossen’s Urban Automotive (@urbanautomotive) Range Rover and Novitec (@novitecgroup) Ferrari 488 on display beside it. Throughout the weekend the Basel House was home to a variety of concerts, live art exhibitions and an assortment of vendors, with the Vossen Forged duo and bouquet front and center.

As quick as our Art Basel 2018 plan came together it was over, and all that remained was the freshly-painted Lamborghini Urus and a flash of memories! It couldn’t’ve happened without some amazing friends and partners in the Miami area and beyond and we are elated with our first Art Basel presence!

Long before the Porsche 991 GT3 on ML-R1s, he crashed the modified car world with this bagged BMW i8, but it wasn’t always this electrifying shade of purple, red (on LC-108Ts) or even matte black (on LC-104s). James “Lord” McDonnell’s BMW i8 (@lordmcdonnell) started its modified life with original white paint, loudly complemented by the Vossen Forged VPS-305T in brushed transparent Vossen Red. Over the years, James did an unbelievable job keeping the look fresh, with more styles than we can count on two hands, but the final stage of Lord McDonnell’s BMW i8 is surely a crowd favorite.

The dark violet metallic wrap, often mistaken for black, is brightened by the Vossen Forged ML-R2 wheel. Directional in design and manufactured in Vossen’s state-of-the-art, TÜV Verified forged wheel factory, the ML-R2s measure 22×9 in front and 22×10.5 in the rear. The full polish finish is contrasted by the wheels’ hand-brushed faces then tinted slightly with a transparent Light Smoke powder coat. Paired with an Accuair (@accuair) air suspension system devised and built by Danny at Slammered (@slammered), the Lord McDonnell BMW i8 effortlessly stood apart from the crowd for its lifetime in the car scene before being returned to stock and exchanged for a BMW X5 M.

James McDonnell, most famously known as @lordmcdonnell, is always changing things up with his fleet of cars, and his Porsche 991 GT3 on Vossen Forged ML-R1 wheels is no exception. Over the years we’ve worked with James on a variety of cars, from his Tesla Model S to the many variations of his BMW i8, and his taste has allowed us to outfit his cars with some very unique, sometimes trend-setting, looks and styles.

James’ Porsche 991 GT3 is fitted with 20×9 front and 20×12 rear Vossen Forged ML-R1 wheels. Being center lock, the GT3 typically lends itself to a more airy, open spoke design. The full-face ML-R1 design is quite unique just in the GT3 application, but when engineered for center lock it takes on a whole new look. A full polished finish with brushed face is kept in its original luster with gloss clear transparent powder coat, creating a show-stopping contrast against the gloss black GT3 body.
