Our friends at TR3Performance give their Z06 the proper upgrade with our Vossen Forged VPS-307 Wheels.
TR3Performance has built quite the name for themselves in the Ferrari 458 Challenge Series and for their work on a multitude of cars from the Scion FRS to one-off Porsche 911s. This Chevrolet Corvette Z06 was a recent shop car they decided to modify slightly to give it a more personal touch. Enter Vossen Forged.
Its always great to see two local South Florida companies come together and we were happy to make a custom set of VPS-307 wheels for them in a Black Chrome finish. We are always happy to state “Made in Miami” in regards to our Vossen Forged Wheels.
There is nothing off the shelf about our Vossen Forged Wheels. During the previous month, TR3 Performance brought their Z06 into our factory for us to complete precise measurements. From these measurements collected we can then recommend the perfect fitment for the Z06.
Thus this Z06 has a 20×10.5 front and 21×12.5 rear which is possible due to the wider flares of the Z06. This Z06 also have the optional Z07 Performance Package which adds Carbon Ceramic Brakes and with the design of the VPS-307 there is always ample room for brake clearance since the wheels have no “Drop Center”.
Just how wide are the tires? The front measure 285/30/20 which is wider than most cars REAR tires! The rear tires are steamroller sized 355/25/21. This isn’t just for looks, this now allows more of the 650hp to hit the road. Of course we used sticky Pirelli P-Zero Nero tires for this Z06.
As you can see though, even with these lightweight Forged Wheels and wide Pirelli rubber the supercharged V-8 Z06 has no problem still lighting up the tires. Greg had quite a bit of fun showing us exactly what this car could do!
We had the opportunity to send some time at TR3Performance’s shop in Ft. Lauderdale and then we took some sweet rolling shots on the highway.
It was here when we truly saw how beautiful this car looks on our Vossen Forged wheels as the bright yellow brake calipers pop brilliantly behind the black chrome wheels.
The Black Chrome VPS-307 wheels add just enough aggression to match the black aero bits on the Z06 while showing off its optional hand brushed aluminum skin. Choosing the brushed option adds an additional human element to our wheels, giving each wheel a special look and feel.
