Nothing excites us more than seeing a freshly-manufactured set of wheels being mounted to a car for the first time. Sadly, as we haven’t yet been trained by Santa Claus, we can’t go everywhere in the world all the time—but we are working on it. But in the case of this Ferrari 458 Italia on Vossen Forged VPS-306 wheels, we were just lucky enough to be there for the delivery and maiden mounting of the made-in-Miami Precision Series wheels!
When we first arrived at Eccentricall, in Liechtenstein, it was Tuesday. We’d been in the UK for a few days over the weekend, and when we had left Miami on the Thursday prior, the VPS-306 forged wheels were still waiting to be shipped. Only days later, upon our arrival at Eccentricall, we found those same wheels, ready for delivery. The next day, less than one week after finishing the wheels and shipping them, we joined Thomas (of Eccentricall) on his delivery of the wheels.
When we arrived at Tuning by Bruno‘s facility in Zurich, Switzerland, we were very warmly greeted by Bruno and his staff, who were all eagerly anticipating the delivery. Before Bruno even had a chance to look over the wheels, the Ferrari 458 Italia was on the hoist, and the stock wheels were being removed. With the same swiftness as we delivered the wheels, they were also mounted!
After getting the car back on the ground (even closer than the factory’s intentions, care of Novitec Group’s lowering kit), we quickly pulled it around the corner and I began snapping away, and the rest is history. Take a gander at the video above and flip through the photos below for more visuals.
